Courier firms, restaurants, pharmacies and shops employ delivery staff on their own rolls, and the next employer, a loan officer or a visa agent asks for proof. Gig-platform riders (Swiggy, Zomato, Amazon Flex) are not employees and get a different document; this page explains both.
