What it does
Keeps the first copy of each line and drops the rest. With "Ignore case" on, "Apple" and "apple" count as the same line. With "Trim spaces" on, extra spaces at the start or end are ignored when comparing and removed from the result.
Common uses
- Cleaning an email list before sending
- Removing repeated keywords from a list
- Tidying exported data before pasting into a spreadsheet
Common questions
Does it keep the original order?
Yes, unless you tick "Sort A–Z".
Can I remove duplicates inside Excel or Google Sheets instead?
Yes — both have a "Remove duplicates" command. This tool is quicker for plain text and lists copied from anywhere.
