Common questions
Does Aadhaar accept this?UIDAI accepts a Certificate of Address signed by a gazetted officer, MP/MLA, or the head of the household in its own format, not a plain affidavit. Use the UIDAI form for Aadhaar.
Will a bank accept it?Most banks accept a self-declaration for current address if your Aadhaar/passport shows a different permanent address. Confirm with the branch.
Can a landlord sign instead?A landlord's NOC plus their bill is often stronger than your own affidavit; the NOC generator makes that too.
